Architectural vision and personalization

In the heart of Milan, the Porro showroom at Via Visconti di Modrone 29 is a constantly evolving space dedicated to design culture, customization, and research into contemporary living.

Facing Via Visconti di Modrone with six large windows framed by steel-clad columns, and opening at the rear onto the pedestrian Via Ronchetti, the building unfolds across multiple levels and offers a wide range of design possibilities. Here, Porro’s bespoke approach takes shape through tailor-made interiors, crafted with artisanal precision and brought to life by ever-changing installations.

A theater house inhabited by emotions

Piero Lissoni’s architectural design interprets the showroom as a pure, linear white box. The space unfolds across multiple levels, with the stairwell as its focal point: a parallelepiped clad in full-height mirrors and featuring a backlit opaline backdrop. The suspended white sheet-metal staircase extends like an origami ribbon.

The white expanded-metal balustrade surrounding the mezzanine preserves a sense of transparency and creates a dialogue between the different spaces.

A house-theatre where architecture, design, art, and culture coexist. Objects and artworks with a strong emotional value engage in dialogue with Porro’s design, expressing its philosophy based on research, design quality, and purity of form.
